With the arrival of technologies enabling ever-faster speeds (on computers as well as smartphones), online video consumption is growing exponentially. Having become an essential medium, video is therefore one of the subjects taught in the Bachelor in Web Project Management at Digital Campus. The challenge of a web video? Creating a short, punchy and dynamic clip that immediately grabs the attention of the web or mobile user, while mastering the technical requirements for multi-platform distribution.
Here are three examples of work produced by Digital Campus Aix-en-Provence students.
Free expression with this student project by Jérôme Travaillé, a first-year Bachelor student. The theme presented: a pastiche of a horror film shot in first person (inevitably bringing to mind *REC).
Next up is the video by Thomas Peres, a first-year student, who presents a report on the event of 23 March 2013 in Bordeaux: "Figures de Style, Skate, Art, Culture and Cherokee".
The final selected video: a tour/presentation of the school in under one minute. Could he be inspired by silent films?
