Created by the association Article 1, Dema1n is an innovative digital mentoring platform.

Its mission? Connecting students with experienced professionals who can guide and support them in their personal and professional development.

Spotlight on Article 1 and its mentoring programme

Article 1 is an association dedicated to promoting equal opportunities, committed to supporting young people aged 16 to 25 from career guidance through to professional integration.

Launched in 2021, the Dema1n mentoring platform is one of the association's flagship initiatives. It aims to create mentor/mentee pairs by connecting a student with a volunteer professional. The mentor must be able to provide personalised support tailored to the student's specific needs:

  • professional integration
  • discovering a career field
  • building a professional project
  • practising English
  • as well as organisational and motivational support.

And in practice?

Students are invited to register on the Dema1n platform — registration is 100% free — and to fill in a detailed form outlining their background and listing their needs. A team analyses this data to match the most compatible mentor and student profiles.

Mentors and students commit to regular check-ins, exchanging 2 to 3 hours per month. While mentoring traditionally lasts 6 months, the duration of the support can be adjusted up or down depending on whether the student's needs are short-term (finding an apprenticeship, etc.) or long-term (practising English, etc.).

The JobReady platform by Article 1

Developed by the association Article 1, the JobReady platform is designed to support students in their professional integration. The goal? Helping users define their career plan, highlight their transferable skills, prepare CVs and cover letters, and more.

Completely free, JobReady offers students tailored advice for finding an internship, apprenticeship, or first job.

The Kampus welcomes the Article 1 team

Digital Campus in Strasbourg had the pleasure of welcoming Elisa Sarthe — Dema1n programme coordinator for the Grand-Est and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions — and Zakia Boufahja — mentoring deployment officer for the Grand Est region — to the Kampus.

They will be joined by a mentee student who will share her experience with the school's students.
