Tennis challenges our second-year Master's students
On Wednesday 24 April, second-year Master's students, Digital Art Direction track, presented their work to Guillaume Grimel, creator of the WeTennix application. WeTennix is an application that allows you to manage your own tennis league with friends or family.
The students had three missions: to rework the logo by modifying the typography, to propose a redesign of the free and paid courts, and finally, to rework the avatars featured in the application.
A comprehensive art direction project
The logo typography redesign brought a modern touch to WeTennix's visual identity. Students drew on their knowledge to select contemporary typefaces that reflect the spirit of the application.
The redesign of the courts and avatars called for genuine creativity from the students. By rethinking these elements, they proposed an improvement to the overall aesthetic of the application while offering a more engaging gameplay experience for its users.
Working on a gaming application pushed students out of their comfort zone. Indeed, it is relatively rare for projects to require thinking about the gamification of design.
By working on WeTennix, the students were able to demonstrate their creativity and step outside their comfort zone by incorporating gamification elements into their designs.
