UX project with H7, Lyon's largest entrepreneurship hub

As part of the Digital Campus Lyon – H7 partnership, the 29 second-year Master's students specialising in UX have the opportunity to work with H7 on a real-world UX project.

What is H7?

H7 is Lyon's largest space dedicated to entrepreneurs, which opened its doors in the Confluence district in April 2019. An open acceleration hub and inclusive community space spanning 5,300 m², with 350 workstations, an event space and a food hall.

H7 connects startups to the real economy and to broader societal challenges.
H7 is driven by 5 ambitions:

  • Welcome and accelerate startups
  • Serve as the hub for digital innovation
  • Position the Greater Lyon area as a gateway to European markets
  • Support startups in their growth into sustainable and profitable businesses
  • Connect SMEs and startups to facilitate their entry into the digital era
Collaborating with Epitech to build H7's new website.

For Digital Campus students enrolled in the Master's in UX Design, the brief is to carry out all UX analyses and map out the operational user journey, while also working on the features of the future website — with final delivery expected in September 2019.

To kick off the project, a first working day was held on 25 April at H7, featuring a site presentation and an initial project brief.

The agenda:

  • 9 am, H7 presentation
  • 10:30 am, introduction to the H7 universe
  • 12 pm, presentation of technical aspects
  • 2 pm–5 pm, project kick-off in sub-groups, each led by a student representative.

On 26 April, the day took place at Digital Campus premises.

The goal of these two intensive days: create a first version of the personas and a list of potential features. Ultimately, students will contribute to building a web app to manage H7's spaces, among other functions.

An exceptional UX project for our Master's students !
