Benefiting from numerous local partnerships, Digital Campus Toulouse is renewing its collaboration with Aerospace Valley. Innovation and skills sharing: these are the goals of this hackathon.
Digital Campus Toulouse and Aerospace Valley joined forces to set first-year master's students an innovation challenge: a hackathon. Our digital strategy experts therefore met the client. Following the brief, there was a phase of analysing the request. The aim was to propose an online platform dedicated to the company: both internally (exchanges between employees, messaging, etc.) and externally (Aerospace Valley partners & collaborators). It was necessary to precisely identify the users and, above all, how they might use this platform.
Two functions quickly emerged: the business aspect and the social aspect. A third function was grafted onto the concept to encourage loyalty and interaction. For this, the winning group proposed a profile system based on social networks, complete with achievements and account progression. The creative concept, Herospace Valley, centred on users who would be "heroes" rising through the ranks over time. As UX Design is booming, it represented a crucial challenge for this platform. Various user interfaces were therefore presented, along with a rationale justifying the methods used to optimise the user experience. This type of event is highly educational; in classes such as the master's programme, it brings together very diverse profiles. It then becomes possible to build a versatile team with a much broader view of the request and a far wider range of skills.
