Sylvie Claracq, director of Digital Campus Biarritz, embodies the school's innovative spirit and ambitious vision in its new location.
Her commitment to the Basque Country and her desire to build a dynamic community rooted in innovation make this educational venture a collective success story. We sat down with this passionate advocate of the Basque territory.
Sylvie C. : I'm Sylvie Claracq, director of Digital Campus Biarritz. For months now we have been working on the establishment project — its identity, its partnerships, the school's network, and all the upcoming projects for students.
Sylvie C.: From the outside, Biarritz might seem like a postcard — but in reality it is a place full of expertise, innovation, and the values of conviviality and festivity that everyone knows.
But it's also a place of solidarity and a shared desire to build the future together through innovative projects, through projects with a positive impact. So there is a real commitment to the territory, and that's the dynamic the campus fits into. It's a territory where students are genuinely welcomed and expected.
The Basque Country is truly a region that wants to see its students thrive, that wants to work with its students for what they will bring — and to keep them in the region afterwards so they become important players in the digital sector, right here in the Basque Country.
When I see many professionals come to Biarritz, they often ask us: how do you manage to stay focused on work? And in reality, that's the wrong question. Because when you can enjoy your environment — whether through sport, or simply by walking in beautiful places, by taking in this wonderful surroundings — you end up being more productive at work. I believe that a Digital Campus student in Biarritz gets to experience this right away, rather than discovering it later in their professional life.
But truly, as a student, learning to balance your professional life, your student life, and your life outside — that balance is something you can start building from your studies, and that creates a perfect student well-being that then feeds into high productivity in your studies.
For me this is a collective adventure — what we are about to experience. I truly believe that Digital Campus students in Biarritz can be a real asset for the territory, and we will all work towards that together.
