The start of July is set to be a creative one in Nantes! On 1 & 2 July, the Nantes campus is hosting a discovery workshop focused on DTP (Desktop Publishing — DTP).
The goal of this Summer Créa Labs? To discover or deepen your knowledge of the Adobe suite software. In other words, it's the perfect opportunity for future Nantes students to get ready for the 2024 intake!
Over these two workshop days, you will explore three Adobe suite applications: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
This Summer Créa Labs runs across two days that can be attended independently or combined — come whenever works best for you!
What does the workshop programme look like?
Day 1
Morning: Introduction to Photoshop, photo compositing and photo retouching using simple, effective tools.
Afternoon: Introduction to Illustrator, creating vector shapes and integrating them as dynamic objects in Photoshop.
End-of-day deliverable: A graphic A3 poster created from a retouched photo in Photoshop, enhanced with graphic elements produced in Illustrator.
> Challenge for the more advanced: Create three poster variants, as you would when presenting options to a client.
Day 2
Morning: Introduction or refresher on Illustrator fundamentals through the creation of pictograms and a visual headline made from text.
Afternoon: Introduction to InDesign, page layout and text block management. Assembly of elements created in Photoshop and Illustrator during Day 1 and the morning of Day 2.
End-of-day deliverable: An A3 event poster using elements from Day 1, enhanced with a graphic title and programme text.
> Challenge for the more advanced: Add the created elements to a library, use them in Adobe Express and produce an Instagram post.
These two days aim to give you a taste of what you will learn at Digital Campus Nantes. A participation fee applies: €50 for 1 day or €75 for both days.
