A passion for technology and a flair for creativity drove Yohan, a Master's Tech Lead student at Digital Campus in Bordeaux, to embark on a unique project that blends development, entertainment, and video gaming.
When we say our students are talented…
Project-based learning is an essential component of every student's curriculum at Digital Campus. It prepares them to tackle stimulating challenges while acquiring the skills needed for their future careers. Hackathons, just like Digital Campus Major Projects, are one of those opportunities where our students can put their knowledge into practice and improve their skills.
This time, the challenge was creativity-focused: create a project around a keyword.
An approach that led to the discovery of a wide variety of content. And it was in this context that Yohan chose to pursue and bring to life his team's project: Ninj'Auk.
A simple and entertaining game, in Ninj'Auk you play as a ninja and must eliminate as many penguins as possible in just 2 minutes. Easy, you might say — and that's where the bombs come in. This major obstacle will cost you precious time every time you make the mistake of confusing them with a penguin…
And watch out, that's not the only trap: if you miss 3 penguins in a row: Game Over.
Will you manage to get your score on the leaderboard?
Ninj'Auk is now playable as it stands, but Yohan has no intention of stopping there — he is already planning a "spiritual sequel" that will retain the same concept while bringing evolutions to the gameplay and visual style.
This sequel is planned for the end of the year, so stay tuned!
