The world of e-sports, despite its omnipresence on social media, remains little known to non-gamers…

What career path should you pursue? How do you break into it? What does the daily life of a gaming influencer look like? Can you turn your passion into your profession? At what cost? (…) So many questions that crossed the minds of the first-year Master's students in Digital Strategy Expertise and which Benjamin Leray, alias Sixquatre, answered during his talk at Digital Campus Rennes on April 18.

Fresh from the capital, the e-sports manager wastes no time introducing himself and sharing his passion for this “out-of-the-ordinary” profession that takes him to the four corners of the globe. A life that runs at 2,000 clicks per hour alongside his teammate and the game in which he is crowned World Champion: Rainbow 6.

“People often told me: if you don't work for your dreams, you work for someone else's.”, Influencer, caster, manager and also headmaster of the school he calls the “SaltyAcademy” for his love of sarcasm, Sixquatre is constantly switching hats!, His viral good mood quickly inspires the students, who fire off question after question (more or less understandable for those unfamiliar with gamer lingo)…, Why have you never switched FPS? Why not the game Fortnite: recognized worldwide?, - Sixquatre: Have you ever seen Zinédine Zidane playing pétanque? (laughter), Why did you choose this nickname?, - S: Back then, I absolutely wanted to be a helicopter pilot and there was an aircraft called the Apache 64. Hence my nickname!
