At the Kampus in Strasbourg, Digital Campus shares an innovative educational space with ESG and ESARC: the Krealab.
This creativity laboratory, designed in collaboration with the design studio GOOD MORNING CREATIVITY, is a genuine innovation in the field of education.
More than just a learning space, the Krealab represents a resolutely innovative pedagogical commitment.
Designed to align with Digital Campus's innovative teaching methods, this one-of-a-kind space was entirely co-created by the school and the studio GOOD MORNING CREATIVITY.
Both teachers and students were involved in the project from the outset, contributing their ideas to ensure that the Krealab aligns as closely as possible with the needs and ambitions of the teaching team and future graduates.
Inspired by design schools where creativity and innovation reign supreme, this small ecosystem is structured around four distinct zones, each dedicated to a stage of the creative process: Imagine, Design, Make, and Pley (a term invented by the studio GOOD MORNING CREATIVITY to describe a form of play that awakens creativity).
This structure encourages students to explore their creativity holistically, moving from ideation through to concrete realisation.
The Krealab is organised around:
- An "Imagine" zone: Here, students are invited to dream and explore. Inspiring books, reflection spaces, and brainstorming tools stimulate the imagination.
- A "Design" zone: Equipped with visual boards and drawing spaces, this area allows ideas to be transformed into visual concepts.
- A "Make" zone: A fully equipped workbench for prototype creation, where ideas take shape through a variety of materials and tools.
- A "Play" zone: A versatile space for role-play and storytelling, fostering experiential learning and interaction. A photo and video studio also completes this final zone.
The Krealab is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including a photo and video studio for creating digital content — essential in the fields of marketing and communications.
Lightweight visual panels facilitate collaboration and project visualisation.
The KREALAB is not just a space for Digital Campus students, but also a place for exchange and collaboration with local communities and businesses.
It serves as a bridge between education and industry, offering unique opportunities for partnership and co-creation.
The Digital Campus Krealab in Strasbourg is a genuine incubator marking the convergence of creativity, experimentation, and innovation.
This one-of-a-kind educational space prepares students to become the creative thinkers and innovators of tomorrow, equipped with the skills and experience needed to excel in an ever-changing world.
