Digital Campus Lyon chooses an environmental cause for its first hackathon of the year.

Digital Campus Lyon is firmly committed to a “Responsible Digital” approach and has chosen Time For The Planet for the first Hackathon of the year, held within the Marketing Lab.

Time for the Planet is one of France's first mission-driven companies! Its mission: to act against climate change by supporting a unique entrepreneurial model.

Time For The Planet is building a community of citizens who want to take action by financing and building a more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive society. It is already among the top 10 largest European crowdfunding campaigns, having raised €740,000 with no media coverage, in under 8 months!

“Represent each Time For The Planet shareholder on a large world map” — that was the brief given to our students for this hackathon. The map was intended to attract new shareholders (financial backers) and present a digital strategy.

Over 48 hours, the Master's students demonstrated tremendous creativity and commitment (including through much of the night!). Engaged students, an inspiring project, and highly present coaches and facilitators: the winning formula for pushing beyond limits. All 64 committed students gave everything over 48 hours to produce an interactive map of Time for the Planet's shareholders — a challenge successfully met by all 7 teams!

  • 64 committed Master's students
  • 2 inspiring co-founders and project leads: Arthur Auboeuf and Nicolas Sabatier
  • 7 interactive shareholder maps created
  • 100 creative ideas to accelerate digital communications
  • 1 new DC x Time planet
  • 1 Campus Région du numérique open 24/7
  • 1 team of coaches and jury members: Valentin PICQ, Benoit THOLENCE, Jean-Sébastien KLEIN, Mickaël SCHMITT

Excellent work praised by the jury and heartfelt thanks from Time For The Planet

Congratulations to team Généraction for first place, with a special mention for their slogan: “Heat up the TRP* not the planet!” (*Taux de Retour pour la Planète — Planet Return Rate).
