When engineers and digital solutions makers come together around entrepreneurial projects!

On April 4 and 5, Digital Campus Lyon organised a Hackathon with entrepreneurial students from INSA, members of the Student Entrepreneurship Programme (FEE LyonTech), alongside second-year students of the Master's in Digital Strategy who are project leads within DC START, Digital Campus's pre-incubator.

  • An exceptional opportunity to combine the skills of students from France's leading post-baccalaureate engineering school with those of the digital makers from Digital Campus, the country's premier web school network.
  • One thing in common: they are all entrepreneurs! The 23 INSA students are all working on a business creation project, while the 64 DC students are finalising their personal DC START web projects.
  • The objective: 48 hours to accelerate 12 student entrepreneurship projects across all digital dimensions.
  • Goal achieved: multidisciplinary skills put to work for the projects — #creativity #agility #versatility.
The project took place across two sites: the INSA campus for the pitch of the 12 projects, team formation, and the final jury; and Digital Campus, within the Campus Région du numérique, for co-working spaces.
Several coaches were available to support the students, including Myriam Eluau and Laurence Martinez, professional coaches @gens heureux et compagnie.
A big congratulations to the 3 winning teams: la magnanerie, la cabane, and Cocoon at home, selected for the quality of their deliverables and the relevance of their proposals.
Quentin from INSA: very positive outcome, both in terms of the quality of the work and the team dynamics.
Bénédicte and Chloé from INSA: It was a very enriching experience. The atmosphere was really great, the Digital Campus students were super friendly and we learned a lot from them.
Julie from Digital Campus: We worked in pairs between INSA and DC so we could learn from each other.
Célia from Digital Campus: We share the same values and a similar outlook, even if we are not trained in the same fields. We complemented each other perfectly.
