Real-world projects, a cornerstone of our teaching approach, are offered throughout the year to Digital Campus Bordeaux students. Whether long-format like the Major Projects or shorter like the #Hackathon, they remain a genuine and challenging driving force for students who validate new skills at the end of each presentation. What better way to showcase both their expertise and their interpersonal skills?
What is a Hackathon?
Over 48 to 72 hours, students work in agency mode around a real-world challenge brought by a client. The goal? To propose the most relevant strategy, build a digital tool prototype, or develop a communication plan — depending on the project owner's needs — to help them grow one or more aspects of their business within the allotted time.

In Bordeaux, since the start of the academic year students have tackled a range of challenges:

« How can we reinvigorate the La Grif Gourmande brand by clarifying its B2B offer, positioning and identity, so that it stands as a fully-fledged brand within the Groupe Arom portfolio and restores its revenue ? »
- Hack'Arom (in collaboration with Groupe Arom and the La Grif Gourmande brand)

« How can we revitalise the Sud-Ouest newsletter and reinvent the newsletter of tomorrow? »
- HackaNews (in collaboration with Sud-Ouest)

« How can we reposition the brand identity of "BAM Brasserie Artisanale de Marsac", known simply as "BAM" for 5 years, by strengthening its local identity in order to capture the attention of its target audience? » - HackaBam 2.0 (in collaboration with Brasserie Artisanale de Marsac).

Encouraging cross-school projects

This year the focus is on pooling diverse expertise by bringing together Digital Campus students — Master's in Digital Strategy and Bachelor Web Project Manager — alongside Business/Marketing students from ESG and Art Direction students from LISAA. Each area of expertise is factored into the development of the best possible strategy, an approach highly valued by project owners, as demonstrated by the Arom team following the HackArom presentation.

Next stop: Cap Sciences, on 12, 13 and 14 December for the Hackathon Curieux!
