A hacka… what ?
Due to Covid-19, merchants, artisans, and restaurant owners have been cut off from their physical retail spaces. This has forced them to reinvent themselves and find new solutions to keep their businesses going.
With this in mind, the DOZER association organised a solidarity-driven, collaborative event to help these professionals in difficulty.
The rules of the challenge are simple : alone or in a team, you have 72 hours to devise a click & collect solution for food shops and restaurants.
Open to everyone, the hackathon was a resounding success and mobilised a large number of participants: students, professionals, and volunteers alike.
Digital Campus students rose to the challenge!
We invited our students to take part in the 60-DOZER hackathon. Challenge accepted… and completed! We are proud of our students who managed, within the allotted time, to imagine and design innovative solutions using their skills and creativity.
A huge congratulations to Benjamin Lepas and Pierre Godino, the grand winners of this hackathon and students at Digital Campus Toulouse!
Solidarity starts with sharing
After the jury’s deliberation, the chosen application is currently being deployed to enable food shops and restaurants to benefit from it as quickly as possible. It will be developed as Open Source software so that it is available to all. It will be completely free and downloadable from the Github site so that it can be used or improved by as many people as possible.
We would like to thank and congratulate all the participants in the 60-DOZER hackathon, and especially our students for their commitment to this event. Thank you to the DOZER association for this wonderful hackathon, and thank you for their trust!
