As part of their induction, the new students of the Digital Strategy Expert Master's programmes (Digital Marketing & Brand Content, UX Design & Big Data) took part in their first hackathon on 27 and 28 September with the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon.

Over 48 hours, their goal was to develop the communication strategy around the ideas competition tied to the museum's utopian extension.

This essential teaching module serves two purposes:

  • Calling on the students' creativity and agility
  • Bringing the new cohort together through a high-quality challenge
After a presentation on the museum's history and a private guided tour, the 64 students worked hard in teams to bring out creative, innovative and polished solutions. Supported by the teams of the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon during 4 hours of coaching, their grey matter was put to good use!
A campus buzzing with energy for 48 hours, then, with 50 pizzas, 30 minutes of Body Combat with a private coach and hours of brainstorming, for a top-level competition!
At the end of the final presentations, the jury — made up of Patricia Viscardi, Secretary General of the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon, Jean-Christophe Stuccilli, in charge of relations with higher education, Stéphane Dégroisse, webmaster and new media officer, and Sylvaine Manuel de Condinguy, head of press relations — praised the students' creativity and singled out 3 teams.
This hackathon was a successful challenge, hailed by the museum's teams, and a partnership that continues with a major Digital Campus project. Many thanks to the team of the Museum of Fine Arts for their trust, their welcome and the challenge offered to the students.
