French Tech: Montpellier, a digital metropolis!
Created in 2013, French Tech refers to everyone who works in or for French start-ups, in France or abroad, and aims to foster the emergence of successful start-ups in France.
Entrepreneurs, investors and the media, but also designers, developers and more, are involved in raising the international profile of start-ups.
Today, a total of 9 metropolitan areas have received the “Métropole French Tech” label. Montpellier is one of them (along with Toulouse, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Grenoble, Nantes and Aix-Marseille).

French Tech had to assert its presence at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES), one of the major events of the global digital industry, which took place in early January 2015.
Nine companies from Montpellier's French Tech made the trip, including VIRDYS, a specialist in 3D applied to information, training and commerce, which presented its Easy Sim 3D solution. This tool makes it easy to create animations to illustrate current events (reconstructions) or to build virtual showrooms and 3D catalogues for retail, for example.
DIGITAL CAMPUS Montpellier, located in the heart of the new Odysseum and Millénaire districts (from the start of the 2015 academic year), naturally finds its place in this metropolis that is favourable to the digital sector and to the creation of innovative businesses.
The other schools in the network (Digital Campus Bordeaux, Lyon, Rennes and Toulouse) are also delighted to be located in labelled metropolitan areas.
