A website creation and online agency management tool project: Digital Campus students collaborating with the Fédération des Designers d'Aquitaine.

The FDA (Fédération des Designers d'Aquitaine) is an association under the French law of 1901, established in August 2009. It is primarily a federation whose purpose is to represent and bring together all designers — whether employees or business owners — in Aquitaine, in order to:

  • promote and lend credibility to the practice of design in all its forms in Aquitaine,
  • create synergy and foster closer ties and collaboration among designers working in Aquitaine,
  • encourage healthy relations between designers and businesses (SMEs and SMIs) in Aquitaine,
  • and develop institutional relationships and support the growth of design resources in Aquitaine.

Now with around thirty members, the FDA is represented among all active institutions in Aquitaine that recognise design as a strong driver of strategic and economic development (Conseil Régional, 4Design-Innovalis, aNTIC, Mairie de Bordeaux, etc.)

THE PROJECTS ENTRUSTED TO DIGITAL CAMPUS

1/ Website creation
Already present online through a blog, a Facebook page and a Twitter account, the FDA wishes to expand its use of online media. Currently:

All these channels will need to interact with the new website. The site will be divided into two areas:

  • a section presenting the FDA's activities to SMEs and the general public, giving them access to general information. The guiding thread: inform and promote
  • a members-only social section with secure access. The overall aim: bring together.

2/ Creation of an online agency management tool
This open-source design agency management tool will need to promote the FDA beyond the region. Built in-house, it will be a platform that is accessible online and on mobile, secure and easily customisable. It will cover accounting management, client management, project management and more.
