With barely concealed excitement, the 5th edition of the Major Projects showcase at Digital Campus Bordeaux took place on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. A day filled with outstanding projects, professionalism, surprises, and high-quality productions — punctuated by music, lighting, and video animations.
With genuine emotion, Honorary President Françoise Schmitt, Founder of the IESA group, opened the ceremony alongside a jury of no fewer than 8 other members:
- Nicolas Journiac – Solocal Group (Creative Director)
- Julien Lescure – HickUp UK (CEO)
- Emmanuelle Ripert-Chollet – Bordeaux Métropole (Director of Attractiveness Mission) and City of Bordeaux (Director of Economic Development)
- Eva Garraud (Jury President) - Digital Campus (National Development Director)
- Yvan Perrière – ESG Bordeaux (School Director)
- Romain Auberger – Digital Campus and Ecran Bordeaux (Academic Director)
- Nicolas Graffin – CEO of agency Egue and Digital Campus lecturer (Web Communications Expert)
- Sylvain Coudert – Digital Campus (Web Developer).
The result of Digital Campus’s unique approach to organisation and pedagogy.
These Major Projects were coordinated throughout the year by Sébastien Tricard, who assembled a solid team around him: Arthur, Nicolas, Clément, Juliana, and Sylvain were on every front. Alumni, colleagues from other Digital Campus schools, partner companies, and prospective students were able to experience and follow the day live on YouTube thanks to a production setup and camera system directed by Jean-Baptiste Beïs, Digital Campus Bordeaux’s video specialist.
The overall takeaway from the presentations was the ever-rising calibre of students, who conduct themselves as true professionals.
Teams demonstrated strong public speaking skills, presenting their work with a theatrical flair and a genuine business orientation. Students demonstrated full command of their pitches and deliverables, with projects submitted in line with the timelines set by their clients. 18 projects, 160 students, 18 project owners, and 9 jury members.
The Digital Campus spirit and atmosphere were guaranteed — the “WE ARE DC” mindset is embedded in each and every one of us.
The day concluded at 6 PM with the presentation of 4 awards:
- The Flat 226 project won the jury prize
- The special recognition award went to Demooz
- Students voted in real time for the Studialis team.
- The 4th award was none other than the Best Project Manager of the Year prize, and it was Joffrey Gentreau, a 3rd-year Bachelor student at Digital Campus, who had the honour of receiving the gold medal.
Roll on the new school year — we can’t wait to discover the new projects that will be presented in March 2017!
