A very informative half-day for the 24 participants in the Discovery Workshop session organised on 22 April between the DC Lyon and DC Rennes campuses.

Free workshops held via video conference during which Digital Campus students were able to introduce participants to various aspects of the web industry (graphic design tools, digital communication…) and shed light on current topics (Fake News, media evolution…).

As an introduction, the Lyon and Rennes teams presented Digital Campus, its programmes and career opportunities in the web industry (web design, web development, digital marketing…), while demonstrating the strength of the DC network — of which this LYONxRENNES workshop is a perfect example!

Nathan (3rd year Bachelor in Digital Project Management - DC Rennes) led the 1st workshop « Introduction to the Adobe Suite » with a simple yet comprehensive demonstration of what Adobe XD can do, using his own portfolio as a model.

Alexia, Alexane and Maëlenn (2nd year Master's in Digital Strategy - DC Lyon) continued the workshops with their presentation on « The Digitalisation of Traditional Media: TV, Radio, Press ». After a brief overview of the characteristics of traditional media, the trio highlighted the position taken by new media players such as Netflix.

Siham (2nd year Master's in Digital Strategy – DC Rennes) led an interactive workshop on the theme « How to Write a Post for Your Social Media », which sparked keen interest among participants who were very active in the video conference chat. Using her 10 golden rules, Siham provided all the prerequisites for a perfect post, helping participants envision a career as a Community Manager.

Juliette (2nd year Master's in Digital Strategy - DC Lyon), the final speaker of the half-day, delivered a talk titled « Anatomy of Fake News » with a humorous and tongue-in-cheek approach. A passionate and captivating presentation that demonstrated why the term « Fake News » should be removed from our vocabulary.

The engagement of the participants during these workshops highlighted their curiosity for the web industry! Meanwhile, the Digital Campus students succeeded in creating an atmosphere of trust that encouraged interaction, allowing participants to benefit from their experiences in the digital world.
