At the end of December, 3rd year Bachelor UX Design students at Digital Campus took on a major challenge: participating in an intensive three-day hackathon using the Design Thinking methodology.

The students' mission for this hackathon: to imagine and propose concrete solutions to boost the visibility and membership of the Le Business Woman Décalée network, a collective committed to supporting female entrepreneurs.

A real-world challenge

The objective was clear: to design two attractive membership offers to draw more members to the network, while taking several constraints into account:

  • Budget: ensuring an accessible and viable model for entrepreneurs.
  • Geography: reaching a local and/or national audience with tailored solutions.
  • Time: proposing relevant offers without overwhelming potential members.

Three days of intensity and creativity

Split into three teams, the students followed the key stages of Design Thinking:

  1. Understand and empathise with the target audience by identifying their needs and barriers.
  2. Define the key challenges facing the network.
  3. Ideate innovative and impactful concepts.
  4. Prototype concrete and tangible solutions.
  5. Test and iterate based on feedback.

Innovative solutions in service of female entrepreneurs

The ideas produced during this hackathon were presented to a jury, showcasing digital strategies and tools to support the growth of the network.

This project allowed Digital Campus students to develop their UX and project management skills while contributing to a meaningful initiative.

This hackathon once again illustrates Digital Campus's DNA: learning by doing, by addressing real-world challenges. Congratulations to the students for their commitment and their bold ideas!
