The first hands-on project for first-year students of the Web Project Manager Bachelor's degree: a genuine introduction to graphic design.
First-year students of the Web Project Manager Bachelor's degree met with the Afro-contemporary dance association Capuccino. As the first concrete project offered to the students, it will be an assignment that will validate the "graphic design" module.
Mainly focused on creation, the brief consists of delivering several communication assets: logo, brand guidelines, poster, flyer, business cards, and so on. The students will therefore have to use their skills to develop a line of thinking that will form the basis of their graphic stance. From this reflection will follow graphic research work on paper, through sketches and drawings, which will culminate in a digital version. This workshop is an introduction to design for beginner students; it not only enables them to get to grips with software but also to develop their own graphic creation process. Coming from different backgrounds, the students have the opportunity to benefit from graphic and creative teaching, as well as from partners who provide concrete, high-quality projects. Moreover, the initiative is beneficial for both parties: the students get a glimpse of what an exchange with a client can be like and of the constraints imposed by the latter. The professionals, too, benefit from the quality of the students' work and from the many proposals they can bring.
