On Tuesday 24 March 2020, the Grand Projects Digital Campus final took place in Montpellier for the 2019/2020 session.
After 6 months of hard work, all students from the 1st year of the Bachelor through to the 1st year of the Master's presented their work and the strategies they developed to address the digital challenge linked to their partner company: UX redesign, graphic design, video production, communication planning, mobile app interface design, e-commerce website, and more — there was something for everyone!
Students still delivered their presentations — just differently. Following the President of the Republic's announcement placing the country in lockdown, we rethought our technical and organisational approach to maintain teaching activities and carry out the projects remotely.
That is when BlackBoard made its appearance at DC Montpellier — a platform with outstanding features, proving invaluable for delivering remote classes, oral assessments, project defences, and of course, the GPDC final!
From Tuesday morning onwards, groups had 12 minutes to present their project and convince the jury of the merits of their solution. Just as they would in person, they could present their work by sharing slides visible to everyone, run animations, create interactive demonstrations to defend their ideas — and show off their best shirts!
Innovative solutions were proposed, and the project sponsors who joined were able to reflect on the shared experience built over the course of the year.
