What are the Digital Campus Grands Projets in Bordeaux?
The Grands Projets are a professional development experience lasting 6 months, during which students from the first year of their Bachelor's programme through to the first year of their Master's programme work as a team to address a digital-related challenge for real companies.
This year, there was a great deal of diversity among the 15 companies selected to take part in the adventure. Neighbourhood associations, artificial intelligence programmes in security, entrepreneurs, and major companies specialising in sport… All of them played along and showed great responsiveness to ensure the projects moved forward successfully. These projects were supervised throughout the 6 months by a team of project coordinators made up of the head of projects, alumni, and second-year Master's students.
Each year, the final presentation takes place in a special venue to best showcase the 6 months of intense work put in by our students. For this 12th edition, we had the great pleasure of taking over the UGC Ciné Cité, just a few steps away from the Bordeaux campus. A day filled with emotion, featuring high-quality project presentations delivered as if at the cinema, in front of an intimidating panel of judges composed of web professionals, alumni, and the founders of Digital Campus…
None of this deterred our students, who earned the jury's admiration and stirred strong emotion among the project owners, who were proud of the commitment and output of each student group.
The most impactful projects were rewarded with Oscars as trophies, along with team activities.
First prize was won by the Destination Bassin à Flot project team: the neighbourhood association of the Bassins à Flot district, thanks to a professional presentation on place marketing managed with great skill by project manager Mathilde Oulibot, who also received the award for Project Manager of the Year.
The jury's favourite and the students' choice went to the Sevun project, the world's first modular telescope.
An immersive and modern presentation inspired by the great names in technology.
The Grands Projets are a one-day experience for some, and a 6-month journey for others. Whether you are a student, a jury member, a project coordinator, family, friend, or alumni — you will come out of it having grown enormously !
« It was 6 months of intensive work during which I learned an enormous amount. I had the opportunity to work in a field that is not normally my area of expertise, but it allowed me to broaden my skill set. It is a project that ended on a wonderful victory, marked by a deeply moving moment. »
Flavie, third year of Bachelor's and member of the Destination Bassins à Flot project team.
« I truly want to congratulate all the students of this 12th edition of the Grands Projets. Every single project was as interesting as the next, covering topics ranging from wine to medicinal plants, labour rights, and astronomy. »
Manon, final-year student in the Expert in Digital Strategy Master's programme and project coordinator.
“Having already experienced the Grands Projets as a student, attending it as a spectator is truly special. Congratulations to all the groups — some truly breathtaking presentations, I have no regrets about coming!”
Ayoub, alumni
