« Finding meaning again » — the motto of a week dedicated to solidarity and mutual support! During the week of May 27th, students at Digital Campus Rennes were able to give back through a variety of ecological and community-focused activities.

A Round Table at the Café Joyeux to reflect on good practices to adopt within the school, Digitimes meetings with solidarity- and/or ecology-driven companies, a Checklist of eco-friendly habits for the Planet, partnerships with the Secours Populaire and the blood donation campaign (Don Du Sang)…

A concentrated dose of solidarity and kindness to raise awareness of accessibility and disability, food waste, and pollution (…). Rediscovering meaning in our activities and bringing heart and humanity to them is priceless — and the students couldn't agree more:

"This week was truly amazing, both in terms of raising awareness about ecology and the actions that were carried out. You can really feel that the school is invested in this issue and trying to make a difference at its own scale. Having taken part in the Trash Tag Challenge, I really appreciated doing something good in a great atmosphere!" - Chloé, student in Master's in UX Design.

"I took part in the Kisses Hearts Glitter Week with the goal of helping to improve Digital Campus's impact on its environment and to raise awareness among students and instructors. The Round Table I attended introduced me to the Café Joyeux — a wonderful place with wonderful values that employs people with mental or cognitive disabilities — and gave me the chance to exchange ideas with other students about measures to take at Digital Campus Rennes. Lots of great ideas came out of it!" - Vincent, student in Master's in Digital Marketing & Brand Content.

Among the professionals who attended, interest was equally high, as demonstrated by Antoine Boudon, project manager at PHENIX, the anti-waste app: "Presenting the Phenix app at Digital Campus Rennes was a fantastic experience. It allowed me to discuss circular economy and food waste with students who, like me, have a genuine environmental awareness. This unique experience proved very enriching, as I had to adapt my pitch to a new audience that had a real understanding of today's issues."
2 exceptional encounters with Antoine Boudon from PHENIX and Antoinette Le Pomellec from CAFÉ JOYEUX, 6 responsible measures to be implemented for next year, 8 blood donations made by students, 8 Trash Taggers who cleared 3 bags of waste at the train station, 1,890 smiles exchanged!
A huge thank you to all the students and speakers who made this week a true success! Feel free to follow them on their social media channels to support their initiatives!
