Let's take a look back at the 2022 edition!
A highlight of the year and a true cornerstone of the DC experience, every student goes through the Major Projects (or simply "the Project") at least once during their time at Digital Campus.
Pressure, excitement, doubt and passion — so many emotions that are woven into this defining adventure for all students.
Major Projects here, Major Projects there… every year you hear about them, but do you really know what they involve?
From first-year Bachelor to first-year Master's, students are mixed into cross-level teams and work on a real company project for 6 months, guided by a coordination team.
Launched in September, presented in March — 6 months to deliver turnkey solutions and budgeted operational strategies that best address the initial brief from the project owner.
And when things go well, the story continues even beyond the Major Projects, with freelance work or sometimes even work-study placement or employment contract offers.
We don't use the term "cornerstone" lightly. The Major Projects, wherever they are held in France, aim to challenge groups of students who structure themselves like an agency and build a genuinely professional working relationship with their client. They advise them, help them find concrete solutions and support them as best they can across all their digital challenges with a creative approach made in DC.
Challenge, true personal growth, and plenty of emotion — the Major Projects watch students evolve year after year, transforming into genuine project managers capable of steering a team and an entire strategy, with professional-quality deliverables.
"It's when we reach that famous day of the GPDC Final Presentations and I see the students we have followed all year step up proudly on stage, explaining their project and their work, that I think to myself they are incredible and I am so proud to accompany them and watch them grow every year."
Lucas C., Digital Campus Projects Coordinator in Bordeaux
Even though past years pushed us too to adopt a creative approach to organising our Major Projects (#twitch).
What a pleasure to once again bring together all the students, project owners and coordination teams in prestigious venues for the grand finale of the GPDC: in Bordeaux at the Palais des Congrès, in Toulouse at the UGC cinema, and welcomed by Planet Océan in Montpellier. Nothing is too good to celebrate the culmination of 6 months of hard work.

18 projects in Montpellier, 14 in Bordeaux, 3 in Rennes, 19 in Toulouse, 7 in Aix — and just as many student groups: as you can tell, the GPDC is quite a machine.
Here is a selection of projects from across France for this 2022 edition!
In Montpellier, 3 standout projects:
- Lactalis: 3 days of filming inside the Roquefort Société caves for the students involved in the project. The goal? To produce a presentation video of the roles within the "Affinage et Conditionnement" (Maturing and Packaging) department for Lactalis HR.
- Waya Festival: A 360° communications strategy for the launch of the first music and arts festival inspired by Latin American celebrations, in Montpellier.
- Delivrue: Defining a communications strategy for the civic movement in Montpellier aimed at raising the movement's profile and rebuilding connections between citizens and homeless people.
In Toulouse, extraordinary experiences for some groups:
- AboWind: A visit to a wind turbine.
- Surtep: A weekend in Portugal for image capture.
- SDIS 31: An immersion day with a firefighting crew.
- Band of Riders: A photo shoot with professional riders.
- CHU de Toulouse: Attending an open-heart surgery.
In Rennes, a great graphic redesign project for the Rennes metropolitan transport system.
In Aix, 7 projects including a double project for the company Manageo and a project with a Business Mentalist.
In Bordeaux, stunning presentations:
- Project Droniz — the art of delivering a presentation that convinces everyone. Soundscape, visual universe, speech: every element came together to make this presentation a true success. The jury was blown away, calling it "worthy of major agencies".
- Project Innov'Akademy: A presentation that proves students are capable of adapting and making every project and every team member shine. One of their members being deaf and mute, the team ensured he could take part in the oral presentation by voicing a character while he performed in sign language on stage. #teamwork.
- Project Stratéos: While presentations are always a high-stress moment, this team managed to convey tremendous lightness and positivity throughout their delivery.
As you can tell, the six months of intensive work for Digital Campus students are filled with plenty of emotion, powerful experiences and sharing. And even as the exercise becomes ever more challenging and demanding, students are always ready to go beyond their limits and rise to the challenge, year after year!
